Graduate Medical Education
Alameda County Medical Center's Highland Hospital is a nationally recognized teaching hospital that has been training outstanding physicians since it opened in 1927. Education, teaching and training are integral parts of ACMC, from our Mission Statement to our hospital floors and clinics, classrooms and exam rooms. Residents do rotations at many institutions in the San Francisco Bay area, including UCSF Medical Center, San Francisco General Hospital, several Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers, Childrens Hospital Oakland, California Pacific Medical Center, John Muir Medical Center, and others.
