Local leaders recently celebrated St. Rose Hospital’s affiliation with Alameda Health System, which preserves health care for all in southern Alameda County.
AHS is the public, safety-net health system that serves Alameda County. AHS adopted governance of St. Rose Hospital last November in a deal that secured its long-term sustainability and capacity to serve patients for generations to come. Previously, St. Rose Hospital was on the brink of closure.
The Tri-City Voice reported on the ribbon-cutting, saying “as mounting political and financial pressures threaten the nation’s public health infrastructure, organizations like Alameda Health System (AHS) are becoming more vital than ever.” Read the full story here.
