Comprehensive list of services 2009 - 2010

Primary Care
Primary Care means the regular doctor visits that keep you and your children healthy, help you get better when you are sick, and help you manage chronic diseases like asthma. The best thing that you can do for your health care is to establish yourself as a regular patient in one of our Primary Care clinics, so you can receive continuous quality care. Don't wait until you are sick to think about seeing a doctor. Being an established patient in clinic is the best way to stay out of the Emergency Department.

ACMC offers Primary Care services for adults and children, at locations in Oakland, Hayward and Newark. You can call to make an appointment. Learn more about Primary Care.

Specialty Care
ACMC offers more than 20 different medical specialties, ranging from Allergy clinic, to Oncology (Cancer), to Rheumatology. Most of these clinics are located at Highland Hospital in Oakland. To see a specialist, you need to get a referral from your Primary Care doctor, or from the Emergency Department at Highland. Learn more about Specialty Care.

Emergency Room and Urgent Care
Sometimes you just can't wait for an appointment. If you are sick or hurt and need to be seen right away, come to the Emergency Department at Highland Hospital, 1411 E. 31st Street in Oakland. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 right now.

Hospital Care
Medical and Surgical inpatient care is provided at Highland Hospital in Oakland. John George Psychiatric Pavilion in San Leandro is the county's acute psychiatric hospital. Fairmont Hospital in San Leandro provides long-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services. Learn more about Hospital Care.
